N. J. Haines and W. P. Haines are legends in the history of the American Piano industry. After starting by filling an order for one piano about every two weeks, Napoleon Haines and his brothers Francis and W. P. managed to build nearly 40,000 instruments by the turn of the Twentieth century.
This 1919, Haines Brothers Grand Piano came to us in serious need of rebuilding. The soundboard was restored, the iron frame refinished and all new strings were custom made. The action and keys were all rebuilt as well. While the finish was not in the usual, heavily worn and blackened condition, it did undergo a serious upgrade to restore the rich and beautiful Mahogany wood.
